Subject: Good Show!

I was at this show, however many years ago... It was a fun show, and hearing it again now, tho I had the tape, its a darn good show! Phil's a little busy, but he was learning new ways to enjoy his new 6 string bass! its funny to think about discussions I had with deadheads back in the day, and what I too thought about these two shows in New Haven. Slept (not so much, more like partied!) out overnight for tickets and I recall it fondly though I soon flunked out of college!
If that isn't a big time recommendation, don't know what is...

And not finiculi finucula, otherwise awesome show 33 years ago, My friend Sean from Norwalk and I camped out at the box office scored 3rd row both nights in front of PHIL, Sean went 20 rows back in the sweet spot in front of the board, pulled equally awesome sounds, My goodness I miss those good ole days.still have the1st gen audiance .. still sounds great

Subject: One Darn good tape

This taper knew where to be for sure, It sounds as if your on top of them during Rhythm Devils and space, These 2 nights are epic now looking back. What I would give to go back in time and know what I know today. This one is a smoker from the 1st to last songs. I give the sound 5 starts and the show 5 too. Along with the scene back then.

Subject: Bird Song #3?

I don't think I've ever seen a Bird Song so early in the first set!

This is a great show. '83 is a solid year overall, especially after the sort of lackluster '82 performances. Phil finally stopped using those knock-off Fender jazz basses (made by, G&L???) and switched to a one of the first Modulus 6-strings. The punchy bass runs are back!

Good AUD tape, but a bit limited.

Subject: My 1st of over 400 shows

this is where it all began. mom let me skip first half of school and took me to wait in line @ the coliseum for tix. my 14th birthday present. thanks again mom its all your fault. excellent taper quality for its time. just look at that second set.YIKES!
